The Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW) sported some appropriately dressed “firecrackers” for the 4th of July. These infants, and their mothers, are part of the nursery program at NCCW. The program affords women who qualify, the opportunity to stay with their infants during incarceration and take part in classes and workshops that focus on parenting skills, prenatal care, child development and more.

Cornhusker State Industries (CSI) employs incarcerated individuals at five NDCS facilities to help prepare them for successful reentry back into the community.
