The Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility has been privileged to participate in fostering dogs through the Nebraska Humane Society (NHS). The NCYF dog program enables dogs to reside at the facility while receiving additional care or awaiting adoption. Each canine companion is paired with an incarcerated individual who has undergone orientation and training to become a dog handler.

Help us welcome the newest NDCS teammates, Class 1224 who have joined our mission to keep people safe. Over the last six weeks, they spent time together in the classroom at the Staff Training Academy learning NDCS policies and safe procedures, and on-the-job training at their respective facilities.
