August 13, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Marcina Norris #392282 left her job at an office building in downtown Lincoln. Clothing belonging to her was found in a nearby parking garage, but she could not be located.

Norris started her sentence on December 17, 2019. She was sentenced to five and a half to nine years on charges out of Butler and Lancaster counties...Read more

Lucas Hoffman #211853 disappeared on Friday, August 6, 2021 when he did not return from his work assignment in the community. He was arrested by the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

August 13, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Director of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) Scott R. Frakes announced that an inmate in his 40s died Thursday, August 12, 2021 at a hospital in Lincoln. The inmate tested positive for COVID-19 prior to being hospitalized. In addition to the coronavirus, he had other medical conditions.

August 12, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Director of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) Scott R. Frakes announced that an inmate in his 50s died today at a hospital in Lincoln. August 12, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Melvin Grimes #210461 left the facility shortly after 10 a.m. this morning.

Grimes started his sentence on March 15, 2021. He was sentenced to two years for multiple counts of shoplifting out of Douglas County. Grimes has a tentative release date of December 10, 2021. He is a 54-year old black man, 6’, 240 lbs., with black hair and brown...Read more

August 12, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Searches are planned at the Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC) following an altercation at the facility this morning involving multiple inmates. Three inmates went to the hospital to be medically evaluated. One was treated for serious injuries* to his face. A fourth inmate was treated at LCC by medical providers, also for serious injuries.

Shaun Settles has been promoted warden of the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O). His position is effective August 2, 2021.
