August 14, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Duane Schriner #34953, age 69, died this morning at the Reception and Treatment Center Skilled Nursing Facility.

Schriner’s sentence began on March 30, 1983. He was serving an 60-151 year sentence out of Gosper and Lancaster Counties for second degree sexual assault, burglary, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and escape.

Two NDCS staff members arrested

August 2, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Two Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) staff members have been arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol for unlawful acts of a corrections employee (Neb. Rev. Stat. §83-417).

Amanda Stanard (37), a records officer at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC), was arrested on July 31, 2024. Stanard had been employed by NDCS since February 2023. She...Read more

June 25, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Martiniano Alcorta #218098, age 55, died today at a Lincoln hospital. He was incarcerated at the Reception and Treatment Center.

Alcorta’s sentence began on February 29, 2024. He was serving an 18-month sentence out of Hall County for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

June 21, 2024 (Tecumseh, Neb.) – Luis Gonzalez #76716, age 53, died today at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI).

Gonzalez’s sentence began on October 15, 2012. He was serving a 30 to 35 year sentence out of Adams County for first degree sexual assault of a child.

Tucker’s sentence began on August 21, 2001. He was serving a 35 to 45 year sentence for manslaughter out of Lancaster County.

McPherson’s sentence began on January 24, 2002. He was serving a 50 to 80 year sentence out of Lancaster County for two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child and two counts of child abuse.
