Road to Reentry: Clinical Treatment
Road to Reentry: Clinical Treatment
More than 90% of individuals incarcerated in Nebraska will return to our communities. During #SecondChanceMonth we’re highlighting the rehabilitative services and resources that encourage successful reentry.
Clinical treatment is designed to address specific behavioral health needs and is delivered by licensed behavioral health professionals. Placement into clinical treatment includes a review of intake assessments along with clinical assessments administered by licensed professionals.
Treatment covers a variety of areas, including mental health, substance use, anger management, violence reduction and victim impact. This treatment is typically completed within three years of an individual’s parole eligibility date or tentative release date, which research has shown is the most effective timeframe.
Stay tuned this week as we look at each step of the road to reentry! #NDCSRoadToReentry
