We’re acknowledging two accolades for NCYF Warden Loretta Wells. Not only was she recently recognized as an outstanding leader for NDCS (as seen in this photo), but last month she received the 2021 Spirit of Excellence Award from the African American Correctional Officer Association.

That award is presented to those who demonstrate excellence in leadership development while promoting diversity and inclusion in their workplace. Warden Wells started her career at NDCS in 1996 as a correctional officer. October is Center of Operational Excellence (COE) Month and today we're putting a spotlight on the NDCS Process Improvement Team: Shaun Grantski, Andrew Spady, Eric Kasik, Eric Spry and Alyssa Payton. They are currently working on multiple projects to create engagement, add value and give people a voice by using Lean Six Sigma methodology and customer-focused efforts to bring about positive change.
