NDCS staff member arrested

August 3, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Angelita Zuniga (44), a corporal at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC), turned herself in to Nebraska State Patrol investigators at the Lancaster County Jail yesterday. She was arrested for first degree sexual abuse of an inmate or parolee (Neb. Rev. Stat. §28-322.01), a felony offense.

Zuniga has been employed by the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) since June 27, 2022. Zuniga resigned her position with NDCS.
