Inmate dies at TSCI

January 15, 2020 (Lincoln, NE) – Raymond Daniels #82309, age 71, died today at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). His sentence started on June 1, 2015. Daniels was serving a 30- to 50-year sentence out of Cass County for the sexual assault of a child.

Omaha police arrest missing inmate

January 15, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who failed to return to the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L) on January 6, 2020, has been arrested by the Omaha Police Department. Anthony Durand #210293 was located today in the area of 48th Street and Izard.

January 10, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who left the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L) the evening of January 8, 2020 has been arrested by the Omaha Police Department.

Staff member assaulted at LCC

January 10, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb) – An inmate at the Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC) assaulted a staff member on Thursday, January 9, 2020, resulting in serious* injuries.

January 9, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Richard Reynolds #86969 left the facility on foot just before 11:00 p.m. on January 8, 2020 after removing the electronic monitoring device on his ankle.

January 6, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Anthony Durand #210293 was given permission to leave the facility today in order to seek employment. Police were notified when he did not return by 5:00 p.m. Durand managed to remove the electronic monitoring device he was wearing.

NSP inmate dies at hospital

December 27, 2019 (Lincoln, NE) – Mark Nielson #83595, age 64, died at 2:30 p.m. today at Bryan Medical Center-West in Lincoln. He was incarcerated at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. Nielson’s sentence began on February 22, 2016. He was serving an 8- to 10-year sentence out of Douglas County for the distribution, manufacture and possession of methamphetamine, with the intent to deliver.
