Students graduate from ABC Core construction course at TSCI
Fourteen incarcerated men at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) graduated from the Associated Builders and Contractor (ABC) National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) CORE Curriculum course on Jan. 17.
This 16-week course was the third and final course that ABC offered for this cohort at TSCI. All 14 students have now completed 18 months of ABC construction courses, which included the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Construction Certification, OSHA General Industry Certification and Applied Construction Math.
"This was a huge commitment," TSCI Associate Warden April Bulling-June said. "Each participant put forth a strong determination to complete each course and begin their future within the construction industries."
