June 9, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Michael Prim #31305, age 71, died June 8, 2024, at a Lincoln hospital. He was incarcerated at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC).
Prim’s sentence began on July 8, 1977. He was serving a life sentence for first degree murder out of Douglas County.
While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Prim was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
