November 18, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Atlee Mosemann, age 41, died this morning at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP). His sentence started February 2, 2017. Mosemann was serving a 16 to 20 year sentence for second degree sexual assault of a child out of Hitchcock County.

While his cause of death has not been determined, Mosemann was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
