November 23, 2018 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Daniel Stetter (57), #56838, died today at 4:48 p.m. at Bryan Medical Center-East. Stetter was an interstate transfer from South Dakota, sentenced for manslaughter, two counts of first degree assault and driving while intoxicated. He was received at the Nebraska State Penitentiary on April 29, 2002.

The cause of death has not been determined. Stetter was being treated for long-term medical conditions. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Department of Correctional Services, a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
