Mentorship, collaboration, problem solving … as part of the NDCS Advanced Leadership Academy, these NDCS teammates are taking their leadership skills to the next level. 

The leaders kicked off the academy this summer with a two-day training where each was challenged to evaluate their own leadership abilities based on 360-evaluations from their peers, supervisors and direct reports. They also learned a problem-solving model that they will use to identify and solve a challenge at their facility within the next six months.  

Because experience can be the best teacher, each member was paired with a NDCS warden who will mentor them throughout the duration of their projects and support their leadership development plans.
