NDCS inmate tests positive for COVID-19

May 18, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that an inmate assigned to the Community Corrections Center-Omaha (CCC-O) tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).  That individual was identified as a close contact of another inmate who tested positive for the virus, and has been under quarantine.

This is the fourth inmate to test positive in NDCS. All four men were from CCC-O. Contact tracing will be conducted to identify other individuals who had close contact with the person who recently tested positive.
