Development and Engagement Coordinator Lindsey Carter took the First-Level Leader program on the road this summer, holding a class at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). This cohort was comprised of teammates from TSCI and other NDCS facilities, and included Peru State College students who are part of the Corrections Leadership Scholarship Program.

Throughout the course, the group learned to develop a leader mindset, evaluate their emotional intelligence, utilize resources and establish their own professional development plan. Director Frakes spent time with the class as they developed leadership skills that will make a positive impact on their teams.
