The Corrections Leadership Scholarship Program — a partnership between Peru State College and NDCS — provides a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world experience paired with high-quality academic learning at Peru State College. This unique program has the potential to change the paradigm for how potential leaders are identified in correctional systems and how their skills are developed.

Students accepted into the program receive $15,000 per year in scholarship awards, a paid position at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution while completing their degree AND development opportunities — like the recent chance to participate in the First-Level Leader class at TSCI. 

Upon completion of the program, students will have earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, amassed extraordinarily valuable experience working firsthand in the criminal justice field and developed the skills to be a leader as a NDCS team member.
