Families and close friends gathered at the Nebraska State Penitentiary on April 12th and April 19th, 2019 to strengthen bonds and spend quality time with their incarcerated loved ones.

These visits were unique from a typical visit to the Penitentiary because they were Family Fun Days. These special days occur a few times a year for incarcerated individuals to deeper connect with their loved ones... and to have a little bit of fun with them too! 

Families are able to participate in a variety of activities from basketball and corn-hole to yard games and video games. This allows incarcerated individuals and their loved ones to engage with one another and develop positive, impactful memories with one another.

Building these experiences helps strengthen bonds between family members and increases their chances of having healthy relationships in the future.
