December 2, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that three staff members with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) are positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). Two staff members are employed at the Omaha Correctional Center (OCC). The third staff member works at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). All three staff members are self-isolating at home.

December 1, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Director of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) Scott R. Frakes announced that an inmate in his 70s died today at a hospital in Lincoln. The inmate tested positive for COVID-19 prior to being hospitalized in mid-November. In addition to the coronavirus, he also had underlying medical conditions.

Missing inmate arrested in Lincoln

December 1, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L) was arrested this afternoon by the Lincoln Police Department. Officers took Brandon Imes #85877 into custody in the area of North 15th Street and Hilltop. Imes failed to return to the facility on the morning of November 26, 2020 from his job in the community.

Missing inmate arrested in Council Bluffs

November 30, 2020 (Omaha, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center-Omaha (CCC-O) on November 7, 2020 has been arrested by the Council Bluffs Police Department. Michael Terry #211243 was taken into custody on Sunday, November 27, 2020 in Council Bluffs, IA.

Terry started serving his sentence on March 3, 2020. He is serving four years for two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) out of Douglas County. His...Read more

TSCI inmate death

November 29, 2020 (Tecumseh, Neb.) – Todd Shade #47016, age 47, died shortly after 11:00 a.m. today at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). His sentence started on March 7, 1995. He was sentenced 33 years and four months to 100 years for two counts of first degree sexual assault on a child out of Lancaster County.
